Prayer

The National Day of Prayer this year is on Thursday, May 3.  Please offer up your prayers to the Lord for our nation!  There will be a prayer event at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma from Noon-1:00 p.m. on that day, if you want to participate.  See details here: http://ndptacoma.org/

We also have a new prayer meeting at the church to pray for our church’s ministries.  Those meetings take place every other Tuesday, 11-noon in the Prayer Room.  Next month the days will be May 1May 15, and May 29.  We have the tremendous privilege of knowing that our great God hears our prayers.  Let’s spend some time with Him and seek His face!

Great Biographies!

This Sunday (April 29), the FPC Library will be displaying assorted books from our vast collection of biographies. We have many stories about inspiring Christian figures, both well-known and less well-known.

All of our biographies have been catalogued and can be searched for in our online catalog here. We have biographies for adults, youth, and children. Recently we moved our adult biographies to a more convenient and accessible location, so they are easier to find and check out. Stop by and take a look on Sunday!

Books and Resources on Prayer

This Sunday (April 22), the FPC Library will be displaying our books on prayer! Our church has been focusing a lot on prayer recently and we hope to provide books and other resources about prayer. Also, don’t forget about our Tuesday morning prayer meetings at the church! These take place every other week in the Prayer Room in South Chapel (Room 201 on the church map) from 11 am to noon. The next one will be Tuesday, May 1.

Our prayer books are catalogued in our online catalog and can be seen here. We have books suitable for both adults and children, so everyone in the family can be involved in our focus on prayer. When they are not being displayed our books on prayer can be found in the Non-Fiction section under the number 248.3. Make sure to stop by on Sunday and take a look!
