FPC Town Hall Meeting

Sunday, October 15 Fellowship Hall 9:15am

What will life be like at First Pres when Cor Deo moves to a new location?

What are we doing to make our campus more inviting as our neighborhood grows and changes?  These and other questions about improvements and use of our facility over the next couple of years will be the topic of our next Town Hall Meeting.  We hope that you can be there for this important conversation. We want to hear your thoughts and your questions.

Books on Revival and Spiritual Renewal!

This year our church has been focusing on revival. The FPC Library has helped further this goal by selling pastor and staff-picked revival-oriented books in the Library Bookstore. If you’re interested in any of these books, stop by Fellowship Hall on Sunday and take a look!
As part of this focus, this week the library will be highlighting books about revival and spiritual renewal on the library display tables. Some specific books that we have available are Experiencing God by Henry BlackabyA Closer Walk by Catherine MarshallTrue Spirituality by Francis SchaefferWhat’s So Amazing About Grace? and Disappointment With God by Philip YanceyGlorious Intruder by Joni Eareckson TadaThe Divine Conspiracy by Dallas Willard, and many more.
Unfortunately, while many of these books can be found in our online catalog not all of them are cataloged yet. However, progress is being made in the non-fiction section and now all the biographies are catalogued. If you are interested in the biographies or our other books and media (DVDS, audio books, etc.), please check out our catalog and browse our selection.
Stop by this week at the Library in Fellowship Hall and check out our selection of books on revival and spiritual renewal as well as our fiction, biographies, commentaries, reference books, youth books, children’s books, DVDs, and other media.

41 Days Until Our Big Request

41 Days Until Our Big Request
Ever since we’ve been talking about revival, it has been my prayer that each one of us will be challenged to consider bold requests that we could be making of God that He would bring about a personal revival in our relationship with Him.
Starting on November 1st, we will be drawing the threads of those prayers for personal revival together to begin making a bold request of God to bring about a corporate revival among our whole congregation and even outside of these walls.
Please consider making this bold and risky request a priority for your prayer life as well.
Pastor Eric

Great Biographies in the Library!

The FPC Library’s biographies have now been completely catalogued and can be searched for online.
This Sunday (September 17), the library table in Fellowship Hall will be displaying many of our great biographies about many fascinating people!
We have books about well known Christian figures like C. S. Lewis, Joni Eareckson Tada, Corrie Ten Boom, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Billy Graham, Dwight L. Moody, George MacDonald, and many others.
We also have captivating stories of little known Christians and their lives. For example, we have books about a woman who was aborted and lived to tell about it, a man kidnapped by Colombian guerrillas, two women who were imprisoned by the Taliban, a Russian ballerina who was arrested by the Soviet Union, an acting LAPD police chief, and many more.
Stop by on Sunday to browse our biographies or check online to find a specific one!
