Thanksgiving Food Baskets

THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS

Thanksgiving food baskets have been a ministry of this church for over fifty years. These “baskets” are actually large boxes filled with staples and fresh  produce and delivered to families in need throughout Pierce County.

You can help by donating non-perishable food or making a cash donation for the purchase of turkeys and other fresh foods.  The need is great, and we’re thankful for God’s faithful provision for sending fifty or more boxes out each year.  If you know of a family in need, please talk to a deacon or contact the church office at 253-272-3286.   Thank you for supporting this ministry.

FPC Town Hall Meeting

TOWN HALL MEETING

Sunday, October 15 Fellowship Hall 9:15am

What will life be like at First Pres when Cor Deo moves to a new location?

What are we doing to make our campus more inviting as our neighborhood grows and changes?  These and other questions about improvements and use of our facility over the next couple of years will be the topic of our next Town Hall Meeting.  We hope that you can be there for this important conversation. We want to hear your thoughts and your questions.

Resources on Apologetics

This Sunday (October 1), the FPC library display table will have books and resources on apologetics! If you have any questions about your faith or know someone who has questions, stop by and take a look at the books!

We will be highlighting books by Lee Strobel, Timothy Keller, Josh McDowell, Sean McDowell, John MacArthur, Francis Schaeffer, David Noebel, and many others.

You can take a look at some of our Apologetics books in our online catalog here. Not all of them are catalogued yet, so you’ll have to stop by in person to see all the options.

We are located in Fellowship Hall and open before and after the service. We also have many other books and resources on marriage, parenting, and science as well as specific books for children, and youth. Don’t forget to take a look at our substantial fiction section and our array of DVDs and biographies!

Come stop by and see us on Sunday! If you have any questions or have a specific book or topic in mind, please email us here!

Our Big Request- A message from our Pastor

Ever since we’ve been talking about revival, it has been my prayer that each one of us will be challenged to consider bold requests that we could be making of God that He would bring about a personal revival in our relationship with Him.  Starting on November 1st, we will be drawing the threads of those prayers for personal revival together to begin making a bold request of God to bring about a corporate revival among our whole congregation and even outside of these walls.   Please consider making this bold and risky request a priority for your prayer life as well.
Blessings,
Pastor Eric

34 Days Until Our Big Request

34 Days Until Our Big Request

“What excites me most about revival is the unity the body of Christ can have when people are transparent to share what they are struggling with and allow God to heal hearts and wounds. As we cry out to Christ, we will be filled with Christ and pass along the love and comfort of Christ to others who are suffering, ultimately strengthening our relationship with God and with others around us. God is so big, He brings restoration and a new hope! Praise Him.”….

Courtney Buchholtz, Office Administrator for FPCS
