FPC Reopening Plans and Information

Welcome to the web page for the FPC Reopening Team. This is a place where you can find information about FPC’s plans to safely reopen its doors for in-person activities in coming months as state and local authorities allow. We look forward to re-gathering together for worship and other activities. Please come back and visit this page for updates.

We also want you to know that despite current restrictions, FPC is still “open for business,” and we hope you stay connected through our online programs, including Sunday worship, youth group, kids’ activities, prayer meetings, an online coffee hour, and more.

Pierce County has entered “Phase 2” of Washington State’s reopening plan. That means our church may be able to start reopening some in-person activities in coming weeks. Our Reopening Team and Session (board of Elders) will be working hard on our reopening plans in coming days. Please keep these groups in your prayers as they seek to figure out what we can do to safely reopen as our government allows. Stay updated about our reopening plans by visiting our new web page for the Reopening Team at www.fpctacoma.org/reopen. This page will be your one-stop site for the latest news and announcements about our timeline for reopening. You will also find there the names of  members of our Reopening Team, and a way you can submit your questions, concerns, and suggestions to the Reopening Team. We are all in this together!

Message from Pastor Eric about FPC Reopening Team

Dear First Pres Family,

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are going to be continuing to meet via livestream for the foreseeable future. We have recently formed a reopening team that is developing a strategy for reopening the church which maintains the safety of our church members and the community as a whole. You can expect to receive regular updates from this team in the coming weeks. In the meantime, we are so grateful for all of the ways that we have been able to continue to pursue the mission of FPC during these challenging times. Thank you all for your partnership in this important work.

Blessings,

Pastor Eric
