MOPS at First Presbyterian Church Tacoma

For nearly 40 years, over one million moms have met in MOPS groups in the United States and in over 32 countries. A MOPS group is a dynamic, inviting environment where women can come just as they are to build friendships, be encouraged by each other and gain practical parenting strategies. Moms get together to share food, laugh and hear inspiring speakers.
While moms are in a MOPS meeting, their children are lovingly cared for in the MOPPETS program.
In a MOPS group, you experience authentic community, mothering support, personal growth and spiritual hope, all to help you be the best mom possible.
Join us at First Presbyterian Church Tacoma for MOPS meetings September through May on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. We meet from 6:30-8:30 pm in Fellowship Hall.

You will receive a packet straight to your door with fun, on-theme gifts and motivational swag from MOPS International.
First Presbyterian Church Group Fee: $90.00

Registration is not complete until your fee has been paid-in-full, or we have agreed to an alternate payment plan. The MOPS International Membership Fee is non-refundable, and the First Presbyterian Church Group Fee is non-refundable after Oct 15. If you have any questions, or need to apply for a partial scholarship, please contact
All members on the Leadership Team are volunteers, and do not take any financial benefit from membership fees. Payment of your fee means you can count on dropping your kids off for two hours of:
  • uninterrupted conversation with other women
  • zero potty breaks or diaper changes
  • a hot breakfast and hot coffee without a child on your lap
  • laughter and heartfelt story-sharing
  • parenting advice from speakers who have gone before us
  • the freedom to choose between yoga pants and a maxi dress because there’s no judgment!
You will also learn you are not alone in the chaos of motherhood when we gather for monthly play dates, and kick back, let your hair down and put on some lipstick for Moms’ Nights Out!
And finally, your membership means you participate in the purpose of MOPS, locally and globally. Your membership fee keeps MOPS an International organization that helps moms in over 40 countries around the world—in urban, multilingual and suburban settings. For moms like you and those vastly different than you. For moms who have never been to church and moms who manage nurseries and host Bible studies. Moms who work from home, moms who work at home, moms who work outside of the home, and moms who have no home. If you would like to learn more about the work of MOPS, please visit MOPS International.
Please also consider making a tax-deductible donation to help with childcare, scholarships, and other expenses for our group. We want everyone to be able to participate, and your donation helps reduce the amount of fundraising we have to do!
