First Presbyterian Church Library

Welcome!

The First Presbyterian Church Library has hundreds of books, DVDs, and other resources to help you and your family grow in your Christian faith. We have materials for adults, for men and women, for children, for teens, and for Seniors. We have fiction books spanning every genre, theology books that delve into life’s deepest questions, books on prayer and discipleship, and many commentaries and other resources that will help you dig deeper into the Bible. We also have a collection of classic and contemporary videos and audio resources, including dramas and comedies as well as non-fiction documentaries. We have a small bookstore where you can buy new books recommended by Pastor Eric and books tied our current focus as a church.

Location and Hours

We are located in Fellowship Hall, and we are open for use before and after the church services on Sundays. If you haven’t visited us yet, or if you haven’t visited us recently, drop by! We’ve been adding, pruning, and re-organizing our resources, and we’ve even started an online catalog.

How to Check Out a Book

Checking out a book or DVD is simple and quick! Just fill out the date, your name, and your phone or email on the library card attached to the book or DVD you want to check out. Library News and Updates

Books for Valentine’s Day

This Sunday (February 17), in celebration of Valentine’s Day, the FPC Library will be displaying materials on marriage, dating, and similar topics! We have books for people who are already married, people who are dating, people who are single, and everything in between.

Our books on marriage can be found in our online catalog here. All of our books are catalogued, but not all of them are tagged according to what subject they cover, so they may not all show up in the search. If you are looking for a specific book on marriage, try searching for that book and ask the librarian about it on Sunday. Stop by on Sunday and see our full collection.

The FPC Library is located in Fellowship Hall and open before and after the service on Sunday mornings. You can contact us by email here.

Missionary Stories

This Sunday (February 3) is Missions Sunday at FPC! As part of our focus on missions, the FPC Library will be displaying missionary stories and other books on missions. We have many fascinating stories of Christian missionaries that you can check out.

Tim Kleefeld, the chair of the GO! Team/Missions committee, suggested a list of books that will be part of our display. These include Hudson Taylor and Maria, The Story of Sadhu Sundar Singh, Daktar: Diplomat in Bangladesh, Revolution in World Missions, and many more! Make sure to stop by on Sunday and take a look at our large collection of interesting and inspiring books on missions.

Pro-Life Resources for Sanctity of Life Sunday

This Sunday (January 20), we celebrate Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. The FPC Library will be displaying books and other resources about abortion, euthanasia, and other similar topics.

Two particular books of interest are Won By Love by “Jane Roe” of Roe v. Wade and Unplanned by a former Planned Parenthood clinic director. In these books, the authors detail their stories and how they came to change their views on abortion. You can take a look at all of our pro-life resources in our online catalog here.
