First Presbyterian Church Library


The First Presbyterian Church Library has hundreds of books, DVDs, and other resources to help you and your family grow in your Christian faith. We have materials for adults, for men and women, for children, for teens, and for Seniors. We have fiction books spanning every genre, theology books that delve into life’s deepest questions, books on prayer and discipleship, and many commentaries and other resources that will help you dig deeper into the Bible. We also have a collection of classic and contemporary videos and audio resources, including dramas and comedies as well as non-fiction documentaries. We have a small bookstore where you can buy new books recommended by Pastor Eric and books tied our current focus as a church. 

Location and Hours

We are located in Fellowship Hall, and we are open for use before and after the church services on Sundays. If you haven’t visited us yet, or if you haven’t visited us recently, drop by! We’ve been adding, pruning, and re-organizing our resources, and we’ve even started an online catalog.

How to Check Out a Book

Checking out a book or DVD is simple and quick! Just fill out the date, your name, and your phone or email on the library card attached to the book or DVD you want to check out. Then drop the card in the basket on the desk in the center of the library. Library materials can be checked out for 2 weeks at a time.

Pro-Life Resources in the Library!

This Sunday (January 21), we celebrate Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. The FPC Library display tables will have books and other resources about abortion, euthanasia, and other similar topics.
You can take a look at some of our newest pro-life resources in our online catalog here. Also, these books can be found under the number 363 in our non-fiction section, if you would like to browse the shelves.

Apologetics Resources!

This Sunday (January 14th), stop by the FPC Library in Fellowship Hall and take a look at our books and DVDs on Apologetics. If you’re unsure of how to defend your faith or have questions yourself, these materials can be a great resource.
You can look at some of our Apologetics books in our online catalog here. They are not all catalogued yet, so make sure to stop by in person to look at all of them. Our Apologetics books can be found normally under the number 239 in our Non-Fiction section.

Check Out Our Biography Collection!

This Sunday (January 3) the FPC Library will be displaying some of our biographies about the lives of many interesting Christian figures!
We have books about well known Christian figures like C. S. Lewis, Joni Eareckson Tada, Corrie Ten Boom, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Billy Graham, Dwight L. Moody, George MacDonald, and many others. Additionally, we have stories about lesser known, but still very fascinating people like Luba Bershadsky, Joel Sonneberg, Lorna Simcox, Bilquis Sheikh, and more.
All of our biographies have been catalogued online and are available to be browsed in our online catalog here.

Visit the Library on New Year’s Eve!

This Sunday (December 31) is New Year’s Eve, the last day of 2017. If you are looking for new books to take you into the new year make sure to stop by the FPC Library. We have almost 3,000 catalogued books plus our non-fiction books which are not all catalogued yet.
We have a large selection of books, DVDs, and CDs for adults, youth, and children. We have both fiction and non-fiction books including Bible Commentaries and Reference books, Biographies, and our general non-fiction that hasn’t been completely catalogued yet. Take a look at our online catalog here and find books by searching for your desired category or item. You can refine your search by located the section called Tags on the right hand side of the catalog page and clicking the one that is the most similar to what you were searching for. The library assigned the tags to books in order to make it easier to find your desired category.
Also, stop by and get daily Bible reading plans to help start your journey of reading the Bible every day. The daily readings start on January 1 and are available in 1-year, 2-year, and 3-year cycles.
