The office of Deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of sympathy, witness, and service after the example of Jesus Christ. It is the duty of Deacons, first of all, to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to any who may be in distress both within and beyond the community of faith. The Deacons also are involved in visitation and bringing the sacrament of Communion to shut-ins and those who are ill, coordinating with our Minister of Visitation, Jean Malmin.
If you have a special need, you can contact our Deacons’ Board by contacting Kathy Hawkins at, or you can contact one of the ministries listed below that we support each month from our Deacons’ Fund.
