One Week for Thanksgiving Books

This Sunday (November 17), stop by the FPC Library to see our collection of Thanksgiving books! This is the only week we’ll be displaying Thanksgiving books because next week (November 24) we will be closed for the Consecration Sunday lunch.
 
You can look at all our Thanksgiving books in our online catalog here. We will also be displaying various DVDs suitable for a movie night with family and friends even if they aren’t specifically Thanksgiving themed. We recently purchased new DVDs, which you can read about here. You can browse all our DVDS here.

The Heat Is On—Join Us for Communion on Sunday!

Our boilers have been repaired in both buildings, and the heat is on. Join us this Sunday for warm fellowship—and a warm Sanctuary! We will be celebrating the sacrament of Communion plus we will be joined in worship by a wonderful guest children’s choir from our Cor Deo School.



Old Testament Resources

This Sunday, November 10, stop by the FPC Library to see Pastor Eric’s recommended books on the Old Testament and other resources on the Old Testament. Check out a few books on the Old Testament in preparation for Walk Thru the Old Testament on Saturday, November 16.

Turn Your Clocks Back and Come to Church for a Celebration!

Remember to turn your clocks back tonight one hour for the ending of Daylight Savings Time. Then come rested to church at 10:30 am when we will celebrate the Reformation with handbells, brass, Chancel Choir, and Praise Team. This is a Sunday you don’t want to miss at FPC Tacoma.

Books on Prayer

This Sunday (October 27), the FPC Library will be displaying our books on prayer! Stop by on Sunday to look at our collection.
 
Our prayer books are catalogued in our online catalog and can be seen here. We have books for both adults and children. When they are not being displayed our books on prayer can be found in the Non-Fiction section under the number 248.3. Make sure to stop by on Sunday and take a look!

Camptoberfest on Saturday, October 12

Join your friends from FPC for Camptoberst on Saturday, Oct. 12 from 2:00-6:00 pm at Camp McCullough (20665 SE 264th Street, Covington). There will be a hot dog and brat dinner, root beer garden, pretzels, apple cider, and loads of fun activities for the family like bounce houses, face painting, pumpkin games, and more. Plus you will learn about the ministries at Camp McCullough and hear how you can lend a helping hand to keep the Camp strong in 2020.  Discounted advance tickets must be purchased by Friday online ($5 per person/$15 per family). Tickets at the door will be $10 per person/$25 per family.

Need transportation? Be at the church parking lot by 1 pm on Saturday to catch a ride.  Bus will return at 6 pm from camp. Riding the bus is FREE!
