Sing your favorite Christmas carols accompanied by choir and orchestra at this free annual holiday event for the entire family that combines audience participation with selections by choir, soloists, orchestra, and a pipe organ with more than 3,000 pipes! Held in the soaring Romanesque sanctuary of Tacoma’s historic First Presbyterian Church, A Celebration of Carols is a one-of-a-kind event not to be missed. A holiday reception with cookies and hot cider will follow immediately after the concert concludes.
 
Returning musical favorites from the past in this year’s program include “Do You Hear What I Hear?,” “Little Drummer Boy,” and “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen,” while new selections for 2018 include “Sing We Now of Christmas” and “We Need a Little Christmas.
 
This year’s Celebration of Carols is an official part of the Stadium District’s Dickens Festival. Come early to enjoy all of the activities of the Festival, including additional music, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more.
