Jobs for Life Program at FPC

First Pres is pleased to be the host church for this year’s Jobs for Life program, offered through Bridges of Love NW, a Deacon-supported ministry. Bridges of Love is a partnership of churches, and we will be joining this fall with Resurrection Church and New Community Church to provide meals, childcare and mentoring for students enrolled in this program. We are looking for mentors who are willing to invest 3-4 hours each week for 15 weeks and offer friendship, guidance, prayer support and a sense of community. Share God’s great love while helping a student complete the course and overcome employment barriers. The classes will meet in South Chapel on Wednesday night beginning September 12 through graduation on January 9. For more information, please contact Kathy Hawkins.

You can also access a helpful summary of how to study God’s Word developed by the Navigators. Many more resources for studying the Bible are listed at the bottom of this page.
