Fourth of July Books

This Sunday (July 7), in celebration of Independence Day, the FPC Library will be displaying books about America’s history! This includes fiction, biographies, and other similar books. Stop by on Sunday to see these books and check out our online catalog here to see all our books.
 
Don’t forget that the 2019 Summer Reading Program has started! Kids can read books and enter a raffle for a stuffed orca whale toy. You can read more about the program here.

Library Summer Reading Program Starts This Sunday!

Stop by the FPC Library THIS Sunday (June 30) to start the FPC Library Summer Reading Program! Kids aged four to ninth grade can participate and enter a raffle to win a stuffed orca whale toy. Come by the library or read our earlier post here for more information.
 
This Sunday, the FPC Library will also be displaying a selection of our big biographies collection. You can look at all our biographies in our online catalog here. We will be displaying books for youth and children that they can read for the summer reading program. Browse our online catalog for our books for kids here and our books for youth here to get ideas of what books to check out during the program.

FPC Library Summer Reading 2019

Everyone ages 4 to 9th grade (as of Fall 2019) can join the FPC Library Summer Reading Program and be entered in a raffle to win a stuffed orca whale toy! The Summer Reading Program starts on Sunday, June 30 and ends on Sunday, September 8.
 
Youth can participate by reading books checked out from the FPC Library. Every time they read one book from the FPC Library they get to pick a small prize. When they read three books they get a raffle ticket for the prize drawing for the stuffed orca whale toy. Come to the FPC Library on Sunday, June 30 to learn more about and start the FPC Library Summer Reading Program!

Father’s Day

Stop by the FPC library this Sunday (June 16), for books about fathers for Father’s Day! We’re celebrating fathers by displaying our books that are about fathers and fatherhood.

The Holy Spirit

This Sunday (June 2), in celebration of Pentecost, the FPC Library will be displaying our collection of books about the Holy Spirit! Pentecost is actually on June 9, but the FPC Library will be closed because of the Congregational Meeting after the service. So, we will be displaying our books this Sunday, the week before Pentecost.
 
Our books on the Holy Spirit can be browsed in our online catalog here. We have books for adults and children that allow you to learn more about the Holy Spirit. Our books can also serve as a great way to teach children about the Holy Spirit. Stop by on Sunday to see take a look at our books in person.

Memorial Day

This Sunday (May 26), in celebration of Memorial Day. the FPC Library will be displaying biographies of American heroes and fiction set during pivotal times in American history.
 
You can take a look at the selected biographies here in our online catalog. Our fiction is also available to be browsed here. If you are looking for some books to read or DVDs to watch over the Memorial Day holiday, you can stop by on Sunday and take a look at our collection!

Fiction For Everyone

This Sunday (May 19), the FPC Library will be displaying books from our collection of fiction. With over 600 fiction books for adults and over 400 fiction books for youth and children, we have something for everyone!
