FPC Library and “Information Central”

Welcome!

FPC’s Library has hundreds of books, DVDs, and other resources to help you and your family grow in your Christian faith. We have materials for adults, for men and women, for children, for teens, and for Seniors. We have fiction books spanning every genre, theology books that delve into life’s deepest questions, books on prayer and discipleship, and many commentaries and other resources that will help you dig deeper into the Bible. We also have a collection of classic and contemporary videos and audio resources, including dramas and comedies as well as non-fiction documentaries. We have a small bookstore where you can buy new books recommended by Pastor Eric and books tied our current focus as a church. We also are a place where you can find out more information about what is happening in the church. In short, we are FPC’s “Information Central.”

Location and Hours

We are located in Fellowship Hall, and we are open for use before and after the church services on Sundays. If you haven’t visited us yet, or if you haven’t visited us recently, drop by! We’ve been adding, pruning, and re-organizing our resources, and we’ve even started an online catalog.

How to Check Out a Book

Checking out a book or DVD is simple and quick! Just fill out the date, your name, and your phone or email on the library card attached to the book or DVD you want to check out. Then drop the card in the basket on the desk in the center of the library. Library materials can be checked out for 2 weeks at a time.

Library News and Updates

Prayer Books for Revival!

As many of you know, our church is having a Solemn Assembly on Saturday, November 4 to pray for revival. We are aiming to have continuous prayer from Thursday the 2nd to right before the Assembly on the 4th. If you are interested in signing up, check out the available times here. If you see one you want to sign up for, email Sonja West here.

This Sunday (October 22), the FPC Library will be highlighting our numerous prayer books on the library display tables. The object of this display is to provide resources to people who are interested in learning more about prayer and learning new ways to pray. We especially hope it will be helpful to those people who have signed up to pray for an hour leading up to the Solemn Assembly and that it will advance our church’s goal of praying for revival as well as facilitating personal growth.

Many of our prayer books (especially our new ones) are in our online catalog and you can take a look at them here. Also, stop by the table on Sunday to see many of our other books on prayer. In addition, we have a selection of prayer books for children that may be helpful in involving children in our focus of praying for revival.

The library is open before and after the service every Sunday. Stop by and see us! As always, if you have any questions, please send us an email here!

Books on Immigration!

In our country today, the topic of immigration is unfortunately a polarizing issue, and many Christians want to understand how to apply their faith to questions relating to immigration. This Sunday (October 15) the FPC Library will be featuring two books that seek to offer a Biblical view of immigration from civil yet markedly different perspectives.

The books are The Immigration Crisis by James K. Hoffmeier and Christians at the Border by M. Daniel Carroll R. You can find them in our online catalog here. We only have one copy of each book, so get to the library early if you are interested in either book!

Don’t worry if the books are already checked out when you arrive, though. If a book is checked out, a sheet will be started so that people can sign up to check out the book next. Then, you can browse our other books (Fiction, Biographies, Youth, Children’s, Commentaries, and more) and our DVDs.

There is a Town Hall Meeting in Fellowship Hall this Sunday, but the library will still be open. Stop by and see us before or after the service! If you have any questions, please send us an email here.

Parenting Books!

Do you have any questions about different parenting strategies and ways to parent? Have you been looking for resources on a specific topic related to parenting? If so (or even if you haven’t), stop by the FPC library this Sunday (October 8) and take a look at our numerous books on parenting and families! The library will be displaying these books on the tables outside the library in Fellowship Hall.

Some of the books that will be displayed this Sunday are The Dad Difference by Josh McDowell, You and Your Child by Charles Swindoll, Getting the Best Out Of Your Kids by Kevin Leman, Boundaries With Kids by Henry Cloud, Faithful Parents, Faithful Kids by Greg Johnson, What Kids Need Most In A Mom by Patricia Rushford, The Five Love Languages of Teenagers by Gary Chapman and many more.

These books aren’t in our online catalog yet, but you can check out our other books (Fiction, Biographies, Commentaries, Youth, Children’s) and our DVDs in the catalog here.

Stop by and see us before or after the service on Sunday in Fellowship Hall! Any questions? Contact us here.

Resources on Apologetics

This Sunday (October 1), the FPC library display table will have books and resources on apologetics! If you have any questions about your faith or know someone who has questions, stop by and take a look at the books!

We will be highlighting books by Lee Strobel, Timothy Keller, Josh McDowell, Sean McDowell, John MacArthur, Francis Schaeffer, David Noebel, and many others.

You can take a look at some of our Apologetics books in our online catalog here. Not all of them are catalogued yet, so you’ll have to stop by in person to see all the options.

We are located in Fellowship Hall and open before and after the service. We also have many other books and resources on marriage, parenting, and science as well as specific books for children, and youth. Don’t forget to take a look at our substantial fiction section and our array of DVDs and biographies!

Come stop by and see us on Sunday! If you have any questions or have a specific book or topic in mind, please email us here!
