Sing your favorite Christmas carols accompanied by choir and orchestra at this free annual holiday event for the entire family that combines audience participation with selections by choir, soloists, orchestra, and a pipe organ with more than 3,000 pipes! Held in the soaring Romanesque sanctuary of Tacoma’s historic First Presbyterian Church, A Celebration of Carols is a one-of-a-kind event not to be missed. A holiday reception with cookies and hot cider will follow immediately after the concert concludes.
This year’s concert will focus on carols inspired by France and will feature soloists Merideth and Michael Marano as well as the Chancel Choir of First Presbyterian Church. Planned carols include “Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella,” “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Patapan,” “The First Noel,” “We Need a Little Christmas,” and more!
This year’s Celebration of Carols on Dec. 7 will come a week before the Stadium District’s Dickens Festival. Come back the following Saturday to enjoy more activities in the Stadium District, including additional music, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more.
